1. Scarlett Johansson, the wildcard

Let’s be honest—I wasn’t excited until I saw her name.
Scarlett Johansson joins the franchise, and for fans like me, that's reason enough to care.
From Lost in Translation to Black Widow, her range speaks volumes.
Will she bring emotional depth to a series that’s been running on CGI fumes?

Maybe. Or maybe it’s just wishful thinking.

2. Bigger, louder, but... again?

The trailers scream budget: massive dinosaurs, collapsing cities, airborne chaos.
Technically, it all looks great. But emotionally? We’ve been here before.
Audiences have grown more skeptical. The question is no longer how, but why again?

3. Rotten Tomatoes doesn't lie

  • Critics: 54%

  • Audience: 52%
    (as of July 2, 2025)

When both critics and casual viewers shrug, something’s off.
This isn't just fatigue — it's confusion.
What story is this trying to tell, and why should we care?

4. Hope vs Risk

Sure, there’s promise: generational shift, genetic evolution, human-dino coexistence.
But these ideas are fragile. Without careful storytelling, they crumble into noise.
Some fans stay out of loyalty. Others just want closure.

5. So… should we care?

Jurassic World: Reversed is a visual feast, no doubt.
But it needs more than spectacle now.
Even Scarlett Johansson can’t carry nostalgia alone.

The dinosaurs are back.
But are we?
